Hello again :)
Coop and I had an awesome time in Eugene with Mike, Dana, Max & Devyn. The drive went really smoothly and I'd love to go back again. The weather was great, this being the first nice weekend of the year for me, super sunny, warm too, blue skies, fluffy coulds, who could ask for anything nicer than that! Dana, Devyn and I went down town to the farmers market on Saturday morning, where Devyn had a dragon painted onto her arm. We shared Saturday Sunrises (I think they were called..) while listening to live music. Dana went off to get starts for the garden and Devyn and I went to get a balloon twisted. Devyn chose a light sabre and after much thought and deliberation with herself and the balloon dude she picked turquois for the light part of the lightsabre. After the market we walked to Max's soccer game and Max and Cooper got slurpees after. Then the guys and I walked to Devyn's soccer game but I didnt get to see much of it. I liked the tunnel the parents made for the girls after the game was over. Saturday night we all went out for Mexican food which was good, but it might not have been as good as the Beltline Bar, hehe...
Sunday morning we all went to church, even me n Coop. Then we took some of the pictures below in Mike and Dana's backyard and took a walk through a park together. It was an awesome place to be on Mothers Day, the flowers were gorgeous, and I think a lot of other people thought the park would be a great place to spend Mothers Day afternoon too.... but it wasn't too overcrowded. Mike gave me a driving tour of the campus in Eugene on the way back to the house. Eugene looks like a cool town. Then Mike reminded me he was only showing me the cool part of town.....
After we got back to the house Mike grilled salmon and asparagus for dinner, it was really really really yummy. I would really like my own grill...... yum....... Dana made a strawberry shortcake for dessert that was anything but short, I think we all liked different parts of it the best, my favourite part was the short cake :)
I also learned a great new game, Bananagrams. This excellent game is much easier than Scrabble cuz there aint no math to do (hehe). You just lay out your own tiles crossword style and try to use up all the letters you have. If you use all your letters you say "peel" and take another tile, everyone else does too. The first one to need a tile and all the tiles are taken is the winner. Then you can read out all the words you made. My best word of the game was "septic".
Coop and I drove home on Monday. Leaving Eugene at 9:30 AM seems to have been a great idea because we drove straight through Portland and then Seattle without any trouble at all. I think I went 60 miles an hour through both cities, which is a real travel blessing believe me!
We had a great time guys!!!! I can't wait to do it again :)
